We’ve introduced a new look and feel for cms.ubc.ca which heavily leans on the Block Editor within WordPress.
New Layout For cms.ubc.ca
After nearly 11 years, the main homepage and website for UBC CMS – cms.ubc.ca – has been updated with a new layout, design language, and updated help documentation.
It is our intention to be more proactive with this site – i.e. we will be publishing more help documentation, more examples, and more detailed information about what is happening with UBC CMS. Your best way to stay informed is to regularly read the newly-designed main CMS blog or subscribe to the CMS RSS Feed.
This site still uses version 7 of the CLF theme, and it is our aim to show what you can achieve using Gutenberg, the Block Editor, within WordPress. Everything on this site is editable within the back-end, just as you see it on the front-end — something that is completely impossible if your CMS site is still using the classic editor.
We’ve put a lot of thought into what content is shown on this site, how it is shown, and where it is shown. We hope you like it, and we’re always keen to hear feedback. We’ll be publishing more posts over the coming weeks which highlight some new features of the site and you can keep track of what’s coming (and going) as well as our progress so far on the CMS Roadmap.
