If you’ve previously worked with or are planning to collaborate with UBC Central Brand and Marketing for hosting your events on events.ubc.ca, we have exciting news for you! At CTLT (Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology), in partnership with the UBC Central Brand and Marketing team, we’ve created a UBC Events Block. This block enables you to seamlessly display your events from events.ubc.ca on your UBC CMS website.

Settings
View Type
This setting determines how events are displayed on your website. You have the choice to toggle between List View and Calendar View, with List View being the default option.
Post Per Page
This setting is available if View Type is set to List View.
This setting determines number of events that will appear on each page.
Enable Pagination
This setting is available if View Type is set to List View.
This setting determines whether pagination is enabled when the number of available events exceeds the limit you’ve set for Posts Per Page.
Filters
If you wish to exclusively display events that belong to specific categories, venues, or have been created by particular organizers, filters are available. Begin typing to search for the available options.
Mobile Friendly
The UBC Events Block is mobile friendly.
Accessibility
The UBC Events Block conforms with WCAG 2.1 AA Guidelines, ensuring that all users can navigate and interact with its content easily and effectively.
How to use the block on UBC CMS?
Navigate to your site’s Dashboard on UBC CMS and go to Plugins. Search for UBC Event Block and activate the plugin. proceed to the specific post or page you wish to edit. Click the + button located in the top-left corner or in the desired location on the page to add a block. Finally, search for UBC Event Block to insert it into your content.
